William Neumann, CPO

is certified as a Certified Prosthetist-Orthotist (CPO) by the American Board for Certification. He is also certified by the USA Veterans Administration as a VA-Qualified Prosthetist (VAQP). He has been in clinical O&P practice for nearly five decades and has served as Chairman of the American Board for Certification (ABC), President of the American Academy of Orthotists & Prosthetics (AAOP), and as Chairman of the Orthotic and Prosthetic National Office Board of Directors, representing the ABC, AAOP, and the American Orthotic and Prosthetic Association (AOPA).

In 2009, he received the prestigious Distinguished Practitioner Award from the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists in recognition of the ideals of the Academy.

Throughout his career, he has served in the United States and the International Society of Prosthetics and Orthotics (ISPO), as well as on international humanitarian missions, and has served on various committees. Including consulting, teaching, and lecturing worldwide, serving as a board member and advisor/educator for the Human Study eV since its inception in mid-2000, and most recently completing a 3-year contract with Mahidol University, Sirindhorn School of Prosthetics and Orthotics (Thailand), former Deputy Director.
